Judo comes back in Tokyo !

Yesterday in Buenos Aires (ARG), Tokyo was chosen to host the 2020 Summer Olympic Games, leaving Istanbul and Madrid behind at the International Olympic Committee's elections.

1964 at the OG in Tokyo, Judo was first time included at the Summer Olympics but only in four categories with 72 judokas's in total. 56-year later, Judo will finally come back where it belongs, in the heart of Japan, Tokyo, near Kodokan, but this time with 7 male categories and 7 female categories.

The Japanese capital will be the first Asian city to host the Olympics twice, having also hosted the 1964 Games. Japan will be hosting its fourth Olympics. Sapporo and Nagano hosted the 1972 and 1998 Winter Games, respectively.
