Russian team finally announced

The Russian judo team, led by the Italian Ezio Gamba were waiting until last day to confirm their squad for the World Championships. Finally it was decided who will defend the white, blue and red colors. There are 18 judokas in the squad including 2 athletes from the Chelyabinsk Region – Kirill Denisov and Renat Saidov.

The Russians will compete in all 14 weight divisions.

It is interesting to see that on the list Mansur Isaev was missing, the U73kg London 2012 gold medalist. Galstyan changed category recently so it was a good decision to put him as a first choice yet.
