Spasiba Alexander! Mikhailin retires from judo

Alexander Mikhailin decided to put an end to his career. The early decision is due to an injured knee and shoulder. At the London Olympics he reached the final miraculously and ended with silver. Also heavy injuries and surgery of the right shoulder a few months for the Worlds in Rio and the European Championships in Montpellier. The triple world champion planned to retire after the World Championships in Chelyabinsk (RUS) this summer. Mikhailin will bring his experience to the Russian Olympic teams for the Olympic Games in Rio and Tokyo in 2020: I will help coaches prepare these deadlines. My career ? Say that despite European and world titles, I cannot be satisfied with the Olympic silver won in London. Something is missing. But life does not stop there. It was time to stop , its my decision. Mikhailin won six European titles and has won various international medals and three world titles and was also nine times champion of Russia. Mikhailin turns 35 in August won 260 international bouts in 325 matches, 80 win percentage.
