VIDEO: Hungarian coach picked up 12 months suspension

During the Paris Grand Slam, the 10th February 2013, Mr. Gabor PANCZEL, Miss Abigel JOO’s coach asked her to leave the mat because she had three shido. After she had left, the athlete came back on the mat, at the request of referees, to apologize and to bow.

 
The IJF asked the disciplinary commission to study the case and the 7th of October 2013, the IJF General Secretary informed Mr. Gabor PANCZEL that a disciplinary procedure was open against him.

 
These facts which are totally against the judo spirit damage the International Judo Federation image.

 
On these grounds, the IJF disciplinary commission:
- Pronounces against Mr. Gabor PANCZEL a 12 months suspension of all competitions organized or authorized by International Judo Federation and its Unions, including a 9 months remission.
- Specifies that the suspension shall be revoked in case of new sanction concerning Mr. Gabor PANCZEL within 3 years of this decision.
