World Ranking Leader U48kg Shirine Boukli
French judoka Shirine Boukli has firmly established herself among the elite of the U48kg division. Known for her explosive style and relentless pace, Boukli has become one of the key figures in France’s strong women’s team over the past Olympic cycle.
Her biggest moment came at the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024. Competing on home soil, Boukli captured an individual bronze medal, a result that delighted the French crowd. She added an Olympic gold medal in the mixed team event, contributing to France’s success in one of the most exciting formats of modern judo.
Boukli had already proven her world-class level before the Games. In 2023 she reached the final of the World Championships in Doha, claiming a silver medal and confirming her place among the best in the category.
At continental level, Boukli has been remarkably consistent. She is a quadruple European champion, winning titles in Prague in 2020, Sofia in 2022, Montpellier in 2023 and Podgorica in 2025.
Her success extends across the IJF World Tour. Boukli won the Paris Grand Slam in 2024 and recently again in 2026, triumphed in Baku in 2022 and captured the IJF Masters title the same year.
