Shirine Boukli World Ranking Leader

World Ranking Leader U48kg Shirine Boukli

French judoka Shirine Boukli has firmly established herself among the elite of the U48kg division. Known for her explosive style and relentless pace, Boukli has become one of the key figures in France’s strong women’s team over the past Olympic cycle.

Her biggest moment came at the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024. Competing on home soil, Boukli captured an individual bronze medal, a result that delighted the French crowd. She added an Olympic gold medal in the mixed team event, contributing to France’s success in one of the most exciting formats of modern judo.

Boukli had already proven her world-class level before the Games. In 2023 she reached the final of the World Championships in Doha, claiming a silver medal and confirming her place among the best in the category.

At continental level, Boukli has been remarkably consistent. She is a five-time European champion, winning titles in Prague in 2020, Sofia in 2022, Montpellier in 2023 and Podgorica in 2025 and last but not least in Tbilisi in 2026. She can become the recordholder for French athletes as no one ever touched six European titles.

Her success extends across the IJF World Tour. Boukli won the Paris Grand Slam in 2024 and recently again in 2026, triumphed in Baku in 2022 and captured the IJF Masters title the same year.

Still only entering her prime, Boukli remains one of the most exciting athletes in women’s judo. She is the World Ranking leader in 2026 U48kg
