Audrey Tcheumeo

Audrey Tcheuméo has been one of France’s most enduring and successful judoka in the U78kg division. Powerful, experienced and tactically astute, she has remained competitive at the highest level for more than a decade.

Her Olympic breakthrough came in London 2012, where she secured the bronze medal. Four years later in Rio de Janeiro she went one step further, reaching the Olympic final against Kayla Harrison and finishing with silver. Two Olympic medals confirmed her status among the elite of her generation.

Tcheuméo became World Champion in 2011 in Paris and added further world medals with bronze in 2013 and silver in 2014 and 2023. Her longevity at world level is matched by her dominance in Europe. She claimed European titles in 2011, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2024, alongside earlier success as a double European junior champion and European U23 champion.

On the IJF World Tour she has been a constant presence, collecting more than 40 World Cup medals. She won the prestigious Paris Grand Slam six times and added further titles including the 2025 Grand Prix in Qingdao. Tcheuméo also played a key role in France’s European and World team triumphs.
